Mountain-Tested Roofing Experience

Nearly Two Decades Of Trusted Roof Replacement In Cherry Log

Cherry Log Roofing has been replacing roofs across the North Georgia mountains since 2008, and that owner-operated approach still guides every job we quote in Cherry Log today. Rather than sending out a commission salesman, the roofer who inspects your property is the same person who prices the work and stands behind it once it's finished. Our crews understand how mountain elevation, heavy snow and shifting temperatures affect a roof's lifespan, which is why we've built a reputation on straight answers instead of storm-chasing sales tactics. Homeowners, cabin owners and business owners throughout Cherry Log and the surrounding Cherry Log area rely on us for roof replacement work built to last.

Signs Your Roof Needs Attention

Is Your Cherry Log Roof Telling You Something?

Mountain weather is tough on roofing. Heavy snow loads, wind-driven rain and wide swings in temperature all take a toll on shingles, flashing and metal panels over the years, and a roof that looked fine last season can develop hidden problems fast. Curling or missing shingles, sagging rooflines, water stains on ceilings and daylight visible through the attic boards are all warning signs that a roof replacement, rather than another patch job, may be the safer long-term choice.

Left unaddressed, a failing roof can lead to rotted decking, mold growth, damaged insulation and even structural issues that end up costing far more than the roof itself. Cabins and second homes are especially vulnerable, since problems can go unnoticed for long stretches between visits. If a recent storm has left you with missing shingles, dented metal panels or a leak that keeps returning no matter how many times it's patched, that's usually a strong sign the roof has reached the end of its useful life.

Our Process

How A Roof Replacement Works With Cherry Log Roofing

We keep the roof replacement process simple and transparent from the first phone call to the final walkthrough. An experienced roofer inspects your property in person, explains what's actually going on with your existing roof, and provides a clear, itemized quote before any work begins. Once you approve the plan, our crew handles tear-off, disposal and installation with minimal disruption to your property, then finishes with a full cleanup and a final quality check.

1

Inspection & Honest Quote

We walk your roof and structure in person, then provide a clear quote with no pressure to sign on the spot.

2

Tear-Off & Preparation

Old roofing materials are removed and disposed of, and the decking is checked for hidden damage before anything new goes on.

3

Installation & Final Walkthrough

Your new shingle or metal roof is installed to manufacturer specifications, followed by a full cleanup and final quality check.

Last month, I called as I had a leak in my ceiling a very rainy week. I actually had two companies come out, one of them being The Cool Roofing Co. One gave me a quote and rec to do a complete tear off to fix the problem. Meanwhile, Jeff from Cool Roofing came out and identified the root cause, did some resealing around bath exhaust vent, and saved me $10k!!
Pam Perry
i had called another company for an estimate on a new roof; they came but never got back to me. same day i called cool roofing and they came out right away. jeff horne is very knowledgeable, respectful and efficient. by the following week, i had a new roof and no more leaks. the roof looks great and they went above and beyond what needed to be fixed. the price is reasonable for what needed to be done. i would recommend cool roofing to my friends or anyone i talk with. i am very satisfied with how professional the crew was and they got it done in one day. i have peace of mind right now. thanks to coof roofing!

I had an amazing experience with Cool Roofing. I worked with Jeff, who was incredibly attentive to my situation. I was in a position where I had to leave town for work but had to make some repairs to my roof for insurance purposes. I was very worried about work being done while I was gone, so Jeff was incredibly hands on and was there throughout the whole process sending me pictures and assisting with satisfying my insurance company. My new roof looks beautiful and I couldn’t be happier.

Reasons To Choose Cherry Log Roofing

Why Homeowners Across Cherry Log Trust Cherry Log Roofing

Choosing a roofing contractor in the mountains isn't quite the same as choosing one in the city. Cherry Log Roofing has spent years learning how elevation, weather and cabin construction affect roofing decisions in Cherry Log and neighboring communities, and our owner-operated team brings that local experience to every job. We're not interested in door-knocking after a storm; we're interested in doing right by the same neighbors we've worked alongside since 2008.

Experienced Local Roofers

Our team has years of hands-on experience with the specific roofing challenges mountain properties face. You'll work directly with people who know the area, not a call center.

Quality Workmanship, Backed By A Warranty

We stand behind every roof replacement with a workmanship warranty. That means quality materials and quality installation, done right the first time.

Built For Mountain Weather

From heavy snow to driving rain, we install roofing systems designed to handle what this climate throws at them. Metal or shingle, we match the material to the property.

FAQs

Roof Replacement Questions From Cherry Log Property Owners

Replacing a roof is a big decision, and it's normal to have questions before committing to a contractor. Here are some of the questions we hear most often from property owners across Cherry Log, answered honestly by our team.

A repair can solve isolated problems like a single damaged section or a small leak, but if your roof is showing widespread wear, such as shingles curling across multiple sections, repeated leaks in different spots, or visible sagging, a full replacement is usually the more practical long-term solution. Our team will inspect the roof, decking and flashing before recommending either option, so you're never paying for more work than your property actually needs.
Standing seam metal roofing tends to perform exceptionally well on cabins, second homes and rural properties, since it handles heavy snow load, wind and temperature swings better than standard shingles. That said, architectural and asphalt shingle roofing remain excellent, dependable options for full-time residences, especially when installed correctly with proper underlayment and ventilation suited to our elevation.
We can inspect your roof after a storm and document the damage clearly, which helps support an insurance claim, and we're happy to work alongside your adjuster to make sure nothing gets missed. While the claims process itself is between you and your insurer, having a detailed, honest inspection from a local roofer makes that conversation a lot easier.
We're owner-operated with deep roots in these mountain communities, so every quote comes directly from an experienced roofer, never a commission-based salesman knocking on doors after a storm. We also carry specific expertise in metal roofing for cabins and rural properties, where standard shingle installations often don't hold up as well.
Yes, our roof replacements are backed by a workmanship warranty, so if an issue arises with the installation itself, we'll come back and put it right. We'll walk you through exactly what's covered before work begins, so there are no surprises later.
Simply reach out and we'll arrange a time to inspect your property in person. From there, we'll talk through the condition of your existing roof, discuss which materials make sense for your property, and put together a clear, no-pressure estimate for the work.
